Meeting Graduation Requirements
It is important for all senior students to maintain good attendance and grades. Seniors need to remain focused on their course of study and keep an open line of communication with their teachers. We would like to stress the importance of parents remaining in contact with teachers regarding their student’s progress as well. We are all partners in the success of your student’s education and will assist in guiding our students to meet their academic goals.
All library books, MISD-provided iPad/case/charger, textbooks, band uniforms/fees, athletic uniforms/equipment, and other school related fees or obligations must be cleared/returned or payment made well before graduation. The student’s diploma will not be issued until all obligations are cleared. Seniors must have fulfilled ALL graduation requirements to participate in commencement ceremony including earning your required number of credits, meeting all attendance requirements, and passing all required Texas State assessments. Graduate PledgeGraduate Pledges will be distributed in senior level English classes during the week of May 15th - 19th. Graduate Pledges will need to be signed by the student graduate candidate and their parent. Please return signed Graduation Pledges to either your English teacher or to Ms. Ayala's office by Wednesday May 31st.
